LMPT Round 1: Weather

Hey Y'all!
Well, round one is officially over! I will admit, weather was a tough round. I had to find an original approach to the category, and make it stand out. I chose playing in the mud after it rained, which wored perfectly because I love mud! I made a collage of all the extra photos we took, and I wanted to share it with you.
Isn't that cool? I love how the boots stand out and the black and white looks vintage. For all you who can't vote or see the entries, I have the photo I entered right here!
There it is! I have a funny story...The day I wnt to take this picture, the camera died! We had to do the whole photoshoot with a cell phone (and it wasn't one of those fancy smart phones, either!) I think it turned out great though.
Next week is Contrast, and I've got a little somethin' somethin' up my sleeve...
See you later!

Happy Memorial Day :)

Hi Everyone!
First off, Happy Memorial Day!

Today is the day that we remember those who have sacrificed much to protect our beautiful country-wether it be time, talent, or even their lives. The nurses, soldiers, and even families of those who serve give so much for us, I think they deserve at least one day to be remembered and thanked :)

This morning mama made some yummy pancakes with raspberries, blueberries, and white chocolate chips-red, white & blue, like the American flag! Then we all got dressed and headed into town for the parade. There were boy & girl scouts, the High school band, firemen, veterans from many different wars, and even a lady dressed in vintage 1900's clothes-floppy hat and all! (She was my favorite :P) The parade ended in the cemetery, where the boy scouts rose the flag and a priest said a prayer of thanksgiving for the service men & women. Afterwards, I went to the movies to see the new Avengers movie-Captain America was my favorite, and he was certainly dressed appropriately :) We went home and got in the pool for a swim, and my Daddy is cooking some ribs for dinner. I'm gonna go in the barn and get Casper ready for a ride tonight; He's been itching for a good walk. What did you do to celebrate today?

Lastly, I want to say thank you to all you readers and followers. While I've been having fun today, I started counting my blessings, and you are all among them. So thank you!

Also, if you know any service men or women, please give them a good "Thank You!" for me. Happy Memorial Day, and God Bless America!

Here comes Peter Cottontail!

Happy Easter!! Easter is my favorite holiday, because of all the spring weather and lovely colors! (although it's typically snowing on the farm...oh well!) I was so excited to see my Easter basket this morning!

We went to my cousin Alexa's house for Easter dinner. They live far away, nearly out of state, so I only visit them on special occasions. We were blessed with warm weather, so we set up the kid's table outside on the deck and had a tea party! The sun was in my eyes, so I borrowed a hat from Alexa's dress-up box.
We had pink lemonade (Alexa's favorite) and a chocolate roll cake for desert. We also set out Alexa's tea cups so we could pretend we were at a fancy party.

It was hot outside, so I was glad I brought my paper fan from my basket!
I love my cousin Alexa. She has really long, blond hair that blows in the wind, and the cutest clothes, like the sparkly, purple peep toe shoes she wore today (That stuff wouldn't be very helpful on the farm though!)I think she's going to be a super model when she grows up!

Scout was hiding under the table!
He jumped up on me and almost spilled my lemonade! Silly dog :)
Alexa's little brother, Randy, loves to play with Scout. Alexa and Randy don't have a dog, so I bring Scout over whenever we visit.
Here's a group pic! If you look in the bottom left corner, you'll see Scout's nose!
I had so much fun with Alexa and Randy. What did you do to celebrate Easter?

Here's an easter Joke Alexa told me:

Why did the Easter egg hide?
(He was a little chicken!)

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

A Much Needed Update...Halloween!

Hello! I'm sorry I haven't been online lately, because it's hard to get good internet service where I live (also known as the middle of nowhere!) I realized you all never got to see my Halloween costume. Hippies won, so here it is! My totally 70's ware!:

Sorry it's not the best picture, but everyone was chomping at the bit to leave, especially Casper! (he he, see what I did there? for those of you who don't know, Casper is my horse :D)

Here's my cute PUMPKIN!!! I was really sad when my dad told me it was time to get rid of him :( It's OK though, he got fuzzy stuff all over him, and he didn't smell to good, either.
I got lots of candy and treats! I know it's kinda late to be asking, but what did you go as? I hope you had a safe, fun, and happy Halloween! Also a good Thanksgiving. I have to help make Christmas cookies now, and decorate the tree, and don't worry I 'll post about it later (but not too late...) Also, for the Christmas season, I decided to change the background on my blog to a happy snowflake theme!! Bye! :D

Autumn Activities

Wow, time flies when you're having fun (and doing homework...) It's already the middle of October!! I'm so excited, because this is my favorite time of year...well, second time of year. Nothing beats no school, swimming, and ice cream!!

I love the colors the farm turns around Fall. I just got back from my october ride. My family and I go on a weekend long horseback riding trip every fall. It's a bunch of fun, and the colors in the woods are so beautiful!

We stopped at a cider mill during our ride. Fresh, Warm doughnuts are the best! Isn't this picture so pretty?
I thought this wheel was pretty cool!
Today I went outside to play in the leaves! Raking them into a pile was hard work, but it's well worth it!
Scout wanted to join in, too. He loves hiding in the leaves and jumping out like a scary monster!
 BOO!
Scout was getting cold, so I lent him my hat, mittens, and scarf. I think he looks silly!!
At the cider mill, they were selling pumpkins, and my parents let me buy one! I think it's really cute.
Scout had to inspect it before it could come inside.
When I went inside, I decided to continue reading about the American Girl, Josefina. She's my favorite. I think I want to be her for Halloween, but also want to be a hippie...What do you think? I started a poll, so go vote!
I can't wait for Halloween!! Can you?
