Here comes Peter Cottontail!

Happy Easter!! Easter is my favorite holiday, because of all the spring weather and lovely colors! (although it's typically snowing on the farm...oh well!) I was so excited to see my Easter basket this morning!

We went to my cousin Alexa's house for Easter dinner. They live far away, nearly out of state, so I only visit them on special occasions. We were blessed with warm weather, so we set up the kid's table outside on the deck and had a tea party! The sun was in my eyes, so I borrowed a hat from Alexa's dress-up box.
We had pink lemonade (Alexa's favorite) and a chocolate roll cake for desert. We also set out Alexa's tea cups so we could pretend we were at a fancy party.

It was hot outside, so I was glad I brought my paper fan from my basket!
I love my cousin Alexa. She has really long, blond hair that blows in the wind, and the cutest clothes, like the sparkly, purple peep toe shoes she wore today (That stuff wouldn't be very helpful on the farm though!)I think she's going to be a super model when she grows up!

Scout was hiding under the table!
He jumped up on me and almost spilled my lemonade! Silly dog :)
Alexa's little brother, Randy, loves to play with Scout. Alexa and Randy don't have a dog, so I bring Scout over whenever we visit.
Here's a group pic! If you look in the bottom left corner, you'll see Scout's nose!
I had so much fun with Alexa and Randy. What did you do to celebrate Easter?

Here's an easter Joke Alexa told me:

Why did the Easter egg hide?
(He was a little chicken!)

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

  2. Happy Easter! Your basket is very cute, and it looks like it was a fun party.

Most of our family went to mass on Easter morning, and then we had a big meal together at lunchtime. After lunch, we hid and found Easter eggs. It was too cold to do our egg hunt outdoors, but we still had fun.

    Love,
